Gabrielle Campo, Cathedral High School Alum, volunteers with students
INDIANAPOLIS—Gabrielle Campo, 7th Congressional District Candidate, will take part in the Cathedral High School, Build On Faith with Habitat for Humanity alongside the students and homeowner, Sheneeka Brown.
Campo stated, “Joining Cathedral High School, my alma mater, in this Habitat for Humanity build allows me to support education and take action to help make homeownership and safe living conditions available for the Brown family. Habitat connects Mrs. Brown and the available community resources, which makes it possible for the many families living in poverty to see hope in action.”
Where: 2353 Sheldon Street, Indianapolis, IN 46218
When: Wednesday, September 3rd at 12:30pm.
Campo also stated, “Today, we are working with one family. As the 7th District Congresswoman, I will work to create affordable housing for our community. In today’s society, it is unacceptable to have families, especially those with children, living in unsafe and below standard housing. Programs like Habitat for Humanity are proof positive that action for a change is possible. Together, we can make a difference for the 7th District.
Campo has dedicated her career to servant leadership and direct service. As a social worker, Campo has coordinated youth programs helping children in Low-income families, managing post-adoption cases, working on publications dealing with issues facing Hoosier families, and serving on many local committees, including the Indiana Disproportionality Committee, the Indiana Coalition to Improve Adolescent Health, and the Marion County Underage Binge Drinking Task Force. Campo is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the International Society of Child Indicators.
