Today the Campo Campaign joined Gabrielle's alma mater Cathedral High School to give sweat equity to build a house with Habitat For Humanity. We built not only the foundation to the structural house but to new opportunities. Access and affordability for homeownership assist a family's well-being. Research shows that owning a home opens the possibility for employment and financial success. In addition, homeownership enhances economic development; business have access to a quality work force.
Good Morning! Thank you for getting up early on Saturday to come kick-off this campaign. Our campaign philosophy is action for a change. When I looked up “change” in the dictionary I found; change is immediately connected with action. We all know action is acting, doing, or working. Today, we are here to begin that change. So, like Gandhi said, be the change you want to see in the world. We care to see our community happier, safer, and cleaner. Building this community takes everyone; and begins with the individual.
