Biography - Gabrielle Campo, MSW

Gabrielle Nicole Campo, a life-long Hoosier, has dedicated her public career to servant leadership and direct service.

Gabrielle grew-up in Indianapolis and graduated from Cathedral High School. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Theater at Saint Maryʼs College at Notre Dame, where she was honored to receive the prestigious Louis R. Tondreau Award for Distinguished Service in Professional Activities. She went on to receive her Master’s in Social Work from Indiana University (IUPUI).

 Her most critical public service has included:

  •  Writing and producing numerous statewide publications addressing the issues facing Hoosier youths and families and presenting solutions. Some of the topics include Full-Day Kindergarten, Suicide, Diabetes, Hunger, College Access, and Financial Literacy.
  • Managing post adoption cases for the Illinois Department of Families and Children Services in Chicago.
  • Coordinating city-wide immunization clinics for Indianapolis

Gabrielle serves on many local committees to improve outcomes for Indianapolis. She served on the Indiana Disproportionality Committee, the Indiana Coalition to Improve Adolescent Health, Marion Countyʼs Underage-Binge Drinking Prevention Task Force, State Comparative Performance Measurements Working Group, and other committees dedicated to improving the lives of children and families.

She is a member of the International Society for Child Indicators, the Italian Heritage Society, the National Association of Social Workers, Nationalities Council of Indiana and the American Legion Auxiliary. Gabrielle is the director of Theology on Tap Indianapolis, an Archdiocese of Indianapolis' speaker series for young adults.

Gabrielle served our Country through Humility of Mary of Mary Service, where she received an educational award from AmeriCorps. She provided services and programs for Children in low-income families, taught English, and worked on immigration issues.

She has lived in various parts of the world, including Asia and Europe.
